Botanical Name: Achillea millefolium

 

Yarrow is an ancient plant of many uses, which are named throughout herbal lore. It features bitter and antimicrobial qualities, as well as a variety of topical uses for wounds, burns, and scrapes. Yarrow is perhaps best known for its styptic actions, which help staunch bleeding.* Energetically a very protective herb. Use in teas, tinctures, poultices, and infused topical oils.
