Botanical Name: Ocimum africanum

Also referred to as "Holy Basil", Tulsi is named for a Hindu goddess and roughly translates to "that which is incomparable".  It is a magically sweet and sacred adaptogen in Ayurveda that assists in modulating the effects of stress while lowering inflammatory load. As a member of the basil family, tulsi is rich in terpenes, such as eugenol, and antioxidant-rich polyphenols. The Kapoor variety is particularly saturated with rosmarinic acid, a strong antioxidant, antibacterial, and inflammation-reducing constituent.*

Aerial parts harvested in flower and hand processed. Harvested July-September 2024.
