Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis): Sometimes called the "happy herb", Lemon Balm is an aromatic nervine indicated for the busy bees in our lives. Wonderful at alleviating occasional sleeplessness and restlessness. As a member of the mint family, this herb is superb at easing nervous digestion and holds immune-supportive properties.
Catnip (Nepeta cataria): While some may only know catnip for its intoxicating effects on our feline friends, catnip is actually quite lovely as an herbal nervine and immune system ally. It is well indicated for instances of "nervous belly", stomachaches, and cold/flu-like symptoms. It is a very gentle herb for kids, and many have found it helpful for supporting restful sleep.
Chamomile (Matricaria recutita): The distinctly familiar aroma of chamomile calls in quiet relaxation. Energetically cooling and nourishing, chamomile brings gentle sedative and soothing effects with its rich terpene profile. It is also relaxing to digestive upset caused by nervous irritability.
Licorice (Glycrrhiza glabra): Characteristically sweet, Licorice root is a deeply nourishing herb that is widely used in Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Licorice is a great adaptogen and supports immune function. Its sweet flavors offer a nice harmonizing effect and will certainly please those sweet tooths! *Note: Long-term use of licorice may increase blood pressure in those with hypertension. Please consult your physician if you have high blood pressure.*
